Snetteron Round - 2nd September:

Well to say i'm chuffed with my recent snett results would be a massive understatement!!!!!!

On the saturday i managed to bag some good races mixed with the hornets/400's claiming 2xwins in my class..aswell as putting the KNIGHT RR TEAM 620 on the 2nd row in 8th spot in timed practice...woo hoo

Sunday saw me just snatch pole from the superfast bemsee gal Sarah jordan and then in the races i claimed 2 x 1st places with fastest laps in both........

Super Fly Chuffed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bones my class B teammate for keeping his head on sunday arfter a (ive got a orange bike and i love the oil line ) crash on saturdays race 2 .....

Well done buddy and top result from ya and just keep claiming points and staying consistant.

The 583 guy's dom clegg/super shepp had a win a peice bringin it all down to the final round with the superfast girl Harriet Ridley claiming 2 x 3rd placings....(watch out lads she's soon gunna claim a win)

Well to be honest i havent got a report for this w/end but managed to grab my first donny win and finaly get rid of the demon's that have allways struc me whenever i race there!!!!!!!!!

So basically i'd just like to say a well done to the chavtastic spidi leather'd lily on her front row qually!!!!!!!
Domski for grabbing pole in fine style and letting me no he was behind with the slipstream whack's outta coppice...

Castle Combe report:

Well With My Oulton Park Dnf In Race 2 Outta The Way And Bike Now Fully Repaired The Knight Rr Team Set Sail To My Localist Track Castle Combe For Round 4......

This Was A 2 Day Meeting And For This Event Class A And B Were Combined Into The Same Race For The First Time This Year So A Full Grid Of 40 + Aircooled Duke's Were Ready To Rumble The Wiltshire Ground.....

The First Untimed Session On Sat Was Just Used To Check The Bike Was Ok Since Oulton's Off And Check New Gearing Settings Along With Suspension Changes And Tyres Etc......

All Seemed Ok And Happy With 1st Choice Of Gearing So Into Timed Session We Go And On Lap 5 I Managed To Set A Time Of 1:21.91 To Claim Pole Position For Both Races Just Ahead Of Domski's 1:24.11 Claiming 2nd With Tim Howard 3rd And Outta Retirement Ian Leah Rounding Off The Front Row In 4th..

Race 1





Managed To Grab A Good Start And Lead The Pack Into Quarry Turn 1 And Get Me Head Down But Full Off Nerve's Nowing I Needed To Rescue Some Points I Lost At Oulton.....

Round Camp Corner Onto Start Straight And Doug On The Pitbourd Shows I Have A Nice Lead Allready So Jst Kept My Head Down To Try To Stay Consistant Throughout And Not Make Mistakes And Each Lap Goes By With My Board Showing I'm Still Pulling A Healthy Lead......but Me.....i'm Still In A Panic And Push On.......final Lap Approaches And Backmarkers Arrive But For Once Without Geoff Spencer There I Managed Lap Them A Tad More Safely Thanks To A Few Secs Lead........... Over The Line I Go To Claim My First Ever Win At Combe With Domski Claiming 2nd Place And Ian Leah Winning His Battle With Tim Howard To Claim 3rd Place.......





Happy With The Bike And Settings That Alan Changed Sunday Morning Arrived And How Lucky We Was The Sun Was Out Again!!!!!


Race 2

To Be Honest I Was Real Nervy Like Mad For This One As I Just Felt Everyone Had Something Up Their Sleeve For Me So I Lined Up On The Grid Thinking I Must Once Again Knucle Down For A Good Start And Try To Lead The Pack Into Turn One Again And Try From There To Grab The Best Position I Could.....but Behave And Bring The Bike Back With Some Points.......

Lights Go Out And Managed Once Again To Grab The Lead Into Turn 1 But This Time I Could Hear A Rumble Of A Duke Right Behind And On A Quick Glimpse Over To Doug With The Board Proved That This One Was Gunna Be Harder.......was It Domski/ian/tim/......i Just Didn't No And Kept Pushing And By Lap 5 Doug Shows A 5 Sec Lead ...........phewwwwwwwwwwwww......






On Lap 6,  I Again Come Across Some Back Markers But Once Again I Had Time To Take It Steady Without Rushing And Manage To Pass Nicely...to Come Over The Line Once Again Claiming A Win 9.10 Secs In Front Of Domski's 2nd Place And Ian Leah Claiming 3rd ......again Over Tim (mr Consistant)howard.......




To Round My Double Win Off I Managed To Break The 620 Lap Record Setting A Fastest Time In Race 2 With A 1:21.67......so To Say I'm Chuffed Would Be A Lil Lie............................................... .............................woooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooo

(The little imp hasnt yet done it, but just to let you know: Hawk was 1st & then had a DNF as he crashed out on (someone else's) oil on the last lap when leading!!)

Assen: 9th & 10th June

SORRY FOR THE DELAY....AND EXCUSE THE SPELLING ETC........I'M UTTER PANTS WITH COMPUTERS!!!!!!!!!!

Once again the desmo due returned to Assen and judging on last years visit the event was gunna be simply awsome and i coulndn't wait to return to the stunning event!!!!!!

Skiping the journey side of the event the team arrived at the welcome centre and booked in for the w/end and collected all passes for the trackday and race event..

under the famous tunnel we go with senna/trudi/skids/ my uncle steve in convoy and woo hoo......what a paddock....makes donny and silverstone look like lydden....this place is awsome with so much history and i just cant beleive im racing here this w/end.once again

we set up camp with the other desmo due brit pack next door to team louigi and across from chass dudley's od2 racing team.

set up tents erect the knight rr team gazebo unload bikes all the usual duties and finaly get settled....

good old chinwags with everyone and slurps of lager whilst trying not to wee myself every 5 min's with excitement ......weather looking good ...............shorts and t-shirts.........pure bliss.......racing at it's best......quick lap of track on the push bike's grab some sleep and friday morning comes.....

Sunshine woke me and before our 2x20 mins sessions the temp was reading around 30 deg in the shade.....woo hoo......

today (fri) was just a general couple of trackday sessions which i used to scrub the new tyres/check gearing and suspension aswell as get to grips with the track again aswell as having a good old giggle to myself saying wooo hooo thats where lawson dropped the marlboro 500 on the grass and oh there used to be a dyke there where webbo and hewitt flew through the air.................sarron slid straight on here in the wet.......edwards last year used that run off point to re-join and nearly win............jeeez what a track.......

ok back to basics..............sorry

with both trackday sessions over with and a good base setting for our timed practice tmrw..it was time to park the little 620 up and continue with the paddock atmosphere......

couple beers/race round the track with chass......who done a wicked elbow out move to take the win over our 2 lap stint.......lol general chitty chatty walk round the track with my uncle steve wetting ourselves over the famous historic turns we are walking on ...........geeks.........lol...........getting stupidly spoilt by my team boss ck with food/drinks/.......hmmmmmmmmm just stupidly spoilt..................2am came along and it were time to get back into my tent to catck some zzzz'zz's



Now for the racing!!!!

First timed session seemed to go well but gearing never felt quite right and on lap 5 i managed to post the fastest time being a 2:04.530 putting me in first place with domski intow at 2:05.343 phil huntley at 2:08.000 and chris wood finishing off the first provisional front row with a 2:08.192...
second session with changed gearing saw me post a faster time of 2:03.503 enough to claim combined pole position for the race with domski once again right up my chuff in 2nd spot chris wood in 3rd and tom on my bike from last year finishing off the front row in 4th (nice one fella)
Race day dawned and well.....this was it......
having made even more gearing changes to the bike (sorry for the last minute madness alan)i was in better spirits
All lined up on grid with brolly dolly's for the first 2 row's the nerve's kicked in with a massive clout........
girlies walk away and watch for the lights.........





off we go and i get a fluffy medium start but managed to grab 1st place into turn 1 and hold for 2 laps until the red flag comes out due to a couple of riders coming having a nasty off......
15 min delay for the re start so back to camp for swift fag and gulp of water.....top up with go go juice for the bike and back on grid once again for the re start......
lights out once more and get a bad start with dom second to chris woods belter of a launch but was able hold the right line from pole into turn 1 and once again grab the lead.........





4 laps left to do in our cut short restart it was gunna be a hard dash and i wasn't wrong as every turn on exit i could hear a duke right behind...not 100% sure who it was but domski sprang to mind as we both had our own snap card for the race and i knew he was faster in certain sections of the track and i was faster at others.....but with no time to look back it could have been anyone as every guy and girl on that grid is a racer which means they all want to win.
every turn received a nice slide from the diablo conrol tyre's but manage'd to keep focused trying not to make a mistake....
into the final lap and well just stay calm but keep it nailed and brake later.......out of final chicane.......still in front...........see the flag...............................woooooooooooooo oooo. hooooooooooooooooooooooooo........i won i won i won........i freakin won at ASSEN......look back to find domski on the louigi moto machine right behind as expected......phew.......it was close with only 0.314 in it over the line.......
Tim Howard on the trap 5 racing machine managed to pip antony espindola for the final rostrum place 23.092 secs back...so it looked to be a belter all round........ with domski setting the fastest lap of the race ( 2:01.965) 5 secs quicker than last years 2:01.965..........wicked dom.wicked
The cooling down lap was amazing with all the marshals waving flags and clapping on the edge of the track like it was moto gp event...........pulled into the pits and parked the bike..........up to the rostrum with dom and tim...............buzzing like mad at this point......
Tim gets called for 3rd................dom for 2nd................ just my luck chilli (lol) hinton for first......nice kissy kissy from brolly dolly.......flowers.trophy..........champagne..... .....woo.........hoooooooooooo

Brands Hatch 15th April 2007:


As most are aware by now for the 2007 season i switched from my louigi moto/od2 racing ride and moved camp to join ck & ak's KNIGHT RR TEAM onboard their 620 monster in the ducati desmo due 620 class.

All pre season testing outta the way and base settings set ........Brands was now upon us

To be honest it were a shambles with both class A/B bikes mixed making a total of 57 out on track and no clear laps for anyone.

RACE 1

Massive nerves feeling like i got more of a feeeeeeeeeever than john travolta on that saterday night!!!!

were off
goodish start and take the lead into paddock and manage to keep for 4 laps i think until i got a massive slide round paddock.

geoff comes past.....followed by otei and domski on the next lap.
keep calm think points wait for their mistakes sort rear end out for next race.
kept dom in tow....geoff cleared off.

otei falls round claerways making me and dom sit bikes up...
make time on dom and go for outside move into clearways whilst coming upto back marker..ease off .....back marker goes down.................woo nearly took me with him!!!!!!!

enter last lap and keep dom intow feeling confident i can make a move..
round clearways on his tail and keep tight line hug hug hug coming out whilst dom drifts wide on the racing line..

Throttle pinned and get good drive on the inside line and come up beside dom on the right and at this point dom looks over his left shoulder to see were i am....

i'm here buddy...im here...tee hee hee

just pipped dom for 2nd over the line....................yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees

come up to back markers but managed to keep my marbles and get past at the right moments. with the sound of a duke still on my tail

i'm chuffed i finaly got a dd win at last but more chuffed for ck@ak for all the time/passion/effort they have put into myself/bones my 583 team mate/ and dd on such a shoe string budget and to repay them both with a result just makes it all worth it.......and with the riding and results bones had in the 583 class.well done fella......well done.....chuffed to bits for you

was awsome to hook up with everybody once again and to see so many faces...in what makes the dd paddock the best social one by far...

next round goes to mallory which is gunna be a real belter round that awesome little track
